JUNE 30,2001

Boulder, CO

Beth's Home and back yard

The idea for the Colorado Reunion Ride(ABB) was hatched by Sandy and Beth early in 2011. It was a chance for ABB riders from the 2010 North Ride to get together for a week or so in the Colorado Rockies. We gathered at Beth's home in Boulder for the inaugural meeting with the official start date the following morning, July 1. Bill graced us with his presence and good wishes and joined in the comraderie. We'll miss ya on this one though!

You all will remember the usual suspects, Steve, Bill, Dan, and John!

And Margo(she just found out we were going to climb some steep hills), Rick, Tom, Little John, and his wife, Barb and there's Bill again!

Leo and Bill

And here's Sandy beginning the pre-ride briefing

Oh, Beth, where are you?

So we're loading up the next morning, ABB style(please sign in everybody!)

And we're off!

Here's John and Barb along the way! And our first vista of the Rockies looking up the gorge.

It's a 16 mile climb to a little hippie villlage called Ward. Exceedingly steep! Exceedingly eccentric!

Yes, folks, this could all be yours!

What, you mean we have to ride over those? Church of St Malo. The Pope was here once!

On the way to Estes Park, our end point for the day, we travel through some gorgeous country. And here's Longs Peak. Its about a 66 mile day, extremely grueling, with I think about 6000 feet of climbing. Nice weather, however and a long downhill into town!
